A building slated for demolition became the shared studio of AW Architects and Deflux Design.
Layers of office fitout were stripped away to reveal rimu sarking, plaster walls and timber beams. Black strand board creates a tessellated backdrop and bold colour adds vibrancy. Judges called it "an unexpected cross between bohemian art studio and a successful hovel of creativity."
