On a steep Sumner site, this compact four-bedroom home shows how prefabricated modules can deliver architectural richness.
A pair of picture-frame windows look to the valley and sea, while sloped ceilings add volume to efficient interiors. Oak, quartzite and whitewashed ply bring warmth and order. The NZIA jury praised its ability to give a family of five "a low-energy, low-maintenance, high-delight life."
