About the project
High above Akaroa, this home responds directly to the volcanic ridges of Banks Peninsula.
Its angular roofline echoes the surrounding formations, while cedar cladding, exposed Cor-Ten and textured decking root it in place. Laser-cut Cor-Ten screens provide shade, and inside the clients' eclectic art collection animates the rooms.
